David Ray Wright, Sr.

David Ray Wright, Sr., age 80, of Asheboro died Monday, November 16, 2015 at the Randolph Hospice House Mr. Wright was born in Randolph County on August 15, 1935 to Newpert Lee and Ruby Kirkman Wright. He was self-employed with David Wright Accounting in Greensboro for 45 years. David was a member of Westover Church in Greensboro. In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Huneycutt Wright. David was a kind, generous, and giving person who loved people. He is survived by his son, David Wright, Jr. and wife Michelle of Greensboro; grandson, Chandler Wright of Greensboro; siblings, Kenneth Wright, Wanda Wright, Johnny Wright, Sue Brown, and Betsy Foster all of Asheboro and Mary Frances Byrkit of Clearwater, FL. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 18, 2015 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro. A graveside service will be held on Friday, November 20, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at the Pleasant Cross Christian Church Cemetery, 124 Pleasant Cross Church Rd., Asheboro.
