David Whatley

Charles David Whatley, age 78, of 3125 Pisgah Covered Bridge Road, Asheboro died Saturday, November 24, 2012 at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the High Pine Wesleyan Church Cemetery, 4492 High Pine Church Rd., Asheboro with Rev. Todd Leach officiating. Mr. Whatley was a native of Randolph County and formerly employed with Trollinger & Sons Builders. David was preceded in death by his parents Clyde and Ona Parks Whatley and his brother Gene Whatley. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Swink Whatley, daughters, Lisa Carter and her husband Al Scalpati of Staley, Angela Cooper and her husband Perry of Asheboro; son, Sean Whatley and his wife Lynn of Farmer; 6 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; sisters, Linda York of Asheboro and Wanda Dennis of Asheboro. Pugh Funeral Home in Asheboro is serving the Whatley family.
