David Michael Welch

David Michael Welch, age 77, of 728 Albemarle Rd., Troy died Saturday, May 2, 2015 at his home. Mr. Welch was born November 25, 1937 in Swain County, NC, the son of Alvie Welch who preceded him in death. He was a former employee of Joyce Frame Shop. In addition to his mother he is preceded in death by his daughter, Wanda Fay Beaman, three sisters and one brother. He is survived by his wife of forty-eight years: Alice Faye Varner Welch of the home; three daughters: Irene Cassidy, Linda Marcus and Rhonda Britt, all of Troy; three sons: David Welch of the home, Newell Rankin Welch and Newell Franklin Welch, both of Troy; 15 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends Monday, May 4, 2015 from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm at Pugh-Troy Funeral Home, 211 North Main Street, Troy; other times at the home. The funeral will be Tuesday at 2:00 pm at Pugh-Troy Funeral Home with Rev. Wayne Lisenby officiating. Burial will be in Southside Cemetery, Troy. Arrangements are by Pugh-Troy Funeral Home.
