David Gerald Watson

Gerald David Watson, age 64, of Randleman, NC, passed away on January 26, 2025, at Forsyth Medical Center.

David Gerald was born on February 28, 1960, in Baltimore, MD, to Bledsoe George Watson and Minnie May Stone Watson. A lover of the outdoors, David Gerald cherished spending time with his family, especially fishing and cooking out. He was known for being an exceptional cook, making holidays extra special with his delicious meals. When able, he enjoyed helping his brothers with their cattle, always eager to lend a hand. Gerald had a kind and caring heart and would help anyone in need.

David Gerald is predeceased by his parents, Bledsoe and Minnie Watson, and his brothers, Ray Junior Watson and Clay Allen Watson.

He is survived by his loving wife of 8 years, Joyce Ann Watson; his brothers, Donnie Watson (Annette) of Sophia and their daughter, Amy Watson, and Dennis Watson (Angela) of Randleman. He is also survived by various nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews who will cherish his memory.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 30, 2025, from 10:00 – 10:45am at Pugh Funeral Home in the Eddie Pugh Memorial Chapel, 600 S. Main St. Randleman, NC. Funeral services will follow at 11:00am with Reverend John Shook officiating. Interment will follow at Faith Temple Baptist Church Cemetery.
