David Henry Shaw

David Henry Shaw, age 80, of Asheboro died Sunday, July 29, 2012 at Randolph Hospice House, Asheboro. Mr. Shaw was born April 14, 1932 the son of Alexander Washington and Lillie Henson Shaw. David was a native of Asheboro and served in the US Army. He retired from Black and Decker and was a member of Asheboro First Wesleyan Church. David was an avid North Carolina Tarheel fan and enjoyed golf. He is survived by his wife: Lenora Cockerham "Squat" Shaw; daughter and her husband: Celia and Greg Spainhour of Asheboro, NC; granddaughter: Kimberly Spainhour; grandson: Will Spainhour both of Asheboro, NC: and two sisters: Edith Benbow of Cedar Falls, NC, and Rachel Hilliard of Asheboro, NC. The family will receive friends Tuesday, July 31, 2012 from 1:00-2:30 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC. The funeral will follow at 3:00 PM in the funeral home Chapel with Rev. Mark C. Beane, Rev. A. J. Kendrick and Pastor Elizabeth Bentley officiating. Burial will be in Randolph Memorial Park, Asheboro. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Randolph, P.O.
