David Samuel Pugh

David Samuel Pugh, 80, passed away Tuesday, October 8th. David was born in Randolph County to Solen and Bernice Pugh on May 17, 1933. He graduated from Randleman High School and joined the Army at age 18. After serving his country, David worked for BellSouth for 38 years until his retirement at age 56. David was an avid golfer and loved spending time with family and friends. David is survived by his wife, Chris, of 34 years; his daughter, Karen Apple; his son, Mike Pugh and his wife Andrea; grandchildren Lauren Evans and her husband Josh, Megan Apple, Jennifer Pugh, Matt Pugh, and Brian Pugh; and surviving sisters Jewel Lamb and her husband Vernon, and Donna Dennis and her husband Farrell. A graveside service will be held Friday, October 11th at Randolph Memorial Park in Asheboro, NC at noon. Pugh Funeral Home in Randleman, NC is assisting the family. Memorials can be made to the American Heart Association.
