David Lee Johnson

David Lee Johnson, age 61, of 630 Home Ave., Asheboro died Wednesday, April 14, 2010 at Sentera Lee Hospital in Norfolk, VA. No funeral services are planned. Mr. Johnson was a born in Wadesboro, NC and was a 1968 graduate of Asheboro High School. He was retired from the U.S. Marine Corps after 22 years of service and was employed with the NC Zoo for 15 years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Kim Johnson. David enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He dedicated his life to his country, wife, children, and grandchildren. He is survived by his daughters, Cindy Brown and her husband Jeremy of Virginia Beach, VA and Virginia Johnson of Asheboro, NC; son, Eric Johnson and his wife Jennifer of Asheboro, NC; grandchildren, Shawn Anthony Johnson, Corey Lee Johnson, Bryce Lee Johnson, Coby Lee Johnson, Caiden Lee Brown and Jayda Marie Brown; mother, Bertie R. Johnson of Asheboro, NC; sisters, Dianne Garrison of Archdale, NC, Lydia Johnson of Jacksonville, NC, Penny Harris of Troy, NC; and brother, Neal Johnson of Archdale, NC. The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 18, 2010 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC.
