David Wayne Holder, age 71, of Franklinville passed away on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at Autumn Care Nursing & Rehabilitation in Biscoe.
Mr. Holder was born in Randleman, NC on March 25, 1946 to Charlie and Maxine Allred Holder, who preceded him in death. He was retired from T&A Transportation in Randleman. David hauled furniture for several companies, where he was affectionately known by his CB handle, "Country Bumpkin."
He is survived by his daughters, Angela Garner and husband Tommy of Randleman, Davina Phillips and James Stanley of Asheboro, and Leslie Martin and husband Robert of Oak Ridge sons, Jimmy Holder and wife Donna of Franklinville, and Mike Holder and wife Abbie of Asheboro; 13 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; and sister, Patsy Russell of Asheboro.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 14, 2018 from 6:00-8:00 pm at his home, 2340 Naomi Road in Franklinville and on Thursday, March 15, 2018 from 12:30-1:30 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue in Asheboro. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, March 15, 2018 at 2:00 pm at New Hope Memorial Gardens, 3448 New Hope Church Road in Asheboro with Rev. Johnny Lord officiating.
