David Harvey

John David Harvey, age 68, of Asheboro died Monday, June 12, 2017 at his home. Mr. Harvey was born January 22, 1949 in Atlanta, GA to Albert and Dorothy Harvey. David moved to Asheboro in 1974 and was the owner of Harvey Fence Company. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Lynn Harvey Goins, sisters, Sara Evans, Frances Traylor, Dorloris Harvey, Carolyn Harvey and brother, Charlie Harvey. He is survived by his wife, Sandra Jones Harvey; daughters, Tracy Harvey and husband, Harvey "Jack" Hill of Asheboro, Kelly Harvey Brower and husband Shane of Asheboro; grandchildren, Chris, Cassie, Alex, Taylor and Makayla; great grandchildren, Lacy, Cali and Noah; sister, Sherry Snow and husband Randy of Clayton, GA; brothers, Steve Harvey and wife Carol of Clayton, GA, Lee Harvey and wife Lori of Forsyth, GA, Verlon Harvey and wife Gloria of Clayton, GA, Danny Harvey of Asheboro and many nieces, nephews and cousins. The family will receive friends Wednesday, June 14, 2017 from 6 - 8 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro. Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 15, 2017 at 2:00 PM in the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jeremy Varner officiating. Burial will be in Hopewell Friends Meeting Cemetery.
