David Duane Grubb

David Duane Grubb, age 53, of Asheboro passed away on Wednesday, August 5, 2020 at his home. Mr. Grubb was born in Randolph County on July 3, 1967 to Lanny Duane and Maxine Bean Grubb. David was a 1985 graduate of Asheboro High School and was formerly employed as a cook at Dixie III Restaurant since 1983. David was preceded in death by his father, Lanny Duane Grubb. David dearly loved his family and his fur baby Honey. He was an artist, and an avid Chevrolet, Elvis, and Bruce Lee fan. He was the "Mr. Fix-It" of the family. He is survived by his daughters, Lindsey Grubb of Randleman, Laura Grubb of Asheboro, and Leah Grubb of Asheboro; the mother of his children, Sherry R. Grubb of Asheboro; mother, Maxine Bean Grubb of Asheboro; brother, Alan Grubb (Michele) of Randleman; sister, Donna Holder (Jimmy) of Franklinville; and nieces, Taylor and Jessica; nephews, Alex, Cody, Charles, and William. A celebration of David's life will be held on Tuesday, August 11, 2020 at 2:00 pm at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel, 437 Sunset Avenue in Asheboro with Rev. Mark Hall officiating. A private burial will be held at Denton Town Cemetery.
