David Charles Brown

David Charles Brown, age 71, of 625 Liberty Hill Church Rd., Mt. Gilead died Thursday, June 23, 2011 at Autumn Care Nursing & Rehabilitation in Biscoe. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, June 26, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Long Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Russell Lee Brown and Rev. Larry Beaver officiating. Burial will follow in the Prospect Baptist Church Cemetery. Mr. Brown was a native of Troy, was a member of Prospect Baptist Church, and was retired from Troy Lumber Company. David was a loving father and grandfather. He had a passion for baseball and was a coach in Troy for many years. He is survived by his sons, Chris Brown and his wife Bonnie of Troy, NC, Russell Brown and his wife Gwinne of Troy, NC; daughter, Susie B. Greene and her husband John of Mt. Gilead, NC; 9 grandchildren; and sister, Joyce Cagle and her husband Bill of Troy, NC. The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 25, 2011 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Pugh-Troy Funeral Home, 211 North Main Street, Troy, NC and other times at the home of Susie Greene, 591 Liberty Hill Church Rd., Mt.
