Darrell Smith

Glenn Darrell Smith, age 70, of 1621 Luck Rd., Asheboro passed away peacefully with family and friends by his side Wednesday, July 18, 2012 at his home. Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 21, 2012 at 11:00 am at Calvary Baptist Church, 210 Oakgrove Rd., Asheboro with Pastor Billy Self and Kenneth Tucker officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Tabor Community Church Cemetery. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and retired from Caraustar Randleman Carton Plant, formerly Mid-State Paper Box of Asheboro. He was preceded in death by his wife Virginia Gail Fox Smith. Survivors include sons Curtis Smith and wife Stephanie of Newton, Todd Smith and wife Sharon of Asheboro, grandson Justin Smith of Asheboro. Brothers Leslie "Buster" Smith and Gary Smith of Asheboro. Sisters Marie Auman of High Point, Joyce Smith of Asheboro, Patsy Henley of Farmer and Cheryl Hardee of Branchville, SC. Visitation will be Friday, July 20, 2012 from 6-9 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Ave., Asheboro and at other times at 1621 Luck Rd., Asheboro.
