Darrell Hancock

Anthony Darrell "Weasel" Hancock, age 76, of Asheboro died Wednesday, November 9, 2011 at Woodland Hill Care & Rehabilitation, Asheboro. A private graveside service will be held at a later date. Mr. Hancock was a native of Randolph County and was a US Navy veteran. He was retired from Sprint and was a member of Hopewell Friends Meeting. He is survived by his wife, Virginia Davis Hancock; daughters, Debbie Felgenhauer and her husband Dennis of Oklahoma City, OK, Holly Delk and her husband Mark of Asheboro, Lisa Thrift and husband David of Burlington; son, Tim Hancock and his wife Kim of Hiawassee, GA; step-son, Dwight Bell of Asheboro, step-daughters, Charlene Watson of Seagrove, Jane Bell of Climax; grandchildren, Felix Rozier, Ian Rozier, Taylor Felgenhauer, Wes Delk, Austin Delk, Ryan Thrift, Chase Thrift, Jennifer Watson, Lacey Watson, Christopher Bell, T. J. Wilkins Jr.; great grandchildren, Ryder Rozier, Addyson Thrift; brother, Nick Hancock of Star. The family will receive friends Friday, November 11, 2011 from 6 to 8 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro and other times at the home of Holly Delk, 726 Fairwood Trail, Asheboro Memorials may be made to Hopewell Friends Meeting, 2244 Hopewell Friends Road, Asheboro, NC 27203.
