Daniel Lee Baker

Daniel Lee "Danny" Baker, age 37, of 526 Crystal Wood Rd., Asheboro died Saturday, October 30, 2010 at his home. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 6, 2010 at 2:00 PM at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Earl Lilly officiating. Burial will be in the First Wesleyan Church Cemetery, 331 Worthville Rd., Randleman, NC. Mr. Baker was a native of Randolph County, was a 1992 graduate of Southwestern Randolph High School, and was a member of Asheboro Holiness Missionary Church. He was employed with Cox's Harley-Davidson and was preceded in death by his mother, Faye Maness Baker. Danny enjoyed flat track racing, working on bikes, and riding his Harley. He loved playing the guitar and singing and also enjoyed hiking, camping, trout fishing, and looking for arrowheads. He was a loving father, son, brother, and friend. He is survived by his sons, John Hollis Dennis of Troy, NC, Zachary Daniel Lee Baker of Asheboro, NC; daughter, Wendy Lee Baker of Asheboro, NC; father, Daniel Franklin Baker of Asheboro, NC; sister, Jaime Baker Markwood of Asheboro, NC; and nieces, Hyland Brooke, Raini Bliss, and Maelee Breeze Markwood. The family will receive friends on Friday, November 5, 2010 from 6:00 - 9:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC.
