Cynthia Pritchard Wilson, age 79, of Asheboro died Friday, June 5, 2020 at Universal Health Care of Ramseur, Ramseur, NC.
Cynthia was a 1959 graduate of Coleridge High School and received an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) from Alamance Community College.
She taught piano from her home and gave private lessons in several Asheboro City and Randolph County Schools. In the churches she attended, she played the organ, piano, led choirs, and often directed the music. She was a member of First Baptist Church Asheboro.
She served in healthcare for 27 years, working at the Randolph County Health Department, Asheboro Health & Rehabilitation, and St. Joseph's Home Health.
Cynthia loved music, antiques, planting flowers, and mowing the yard. She loved her family and was especially proud of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents Lewis and Era Pritchard, husband Farrell Wilson, and sister, Celia Pritchard Oliver.
She is survived by two sons, Randy Wilson and his wife Andi of Asheboro, NC and Robby Wilson and his wife Maria of Greenwood, SC; grandchildren, Jonathan Wilson and his wife Sarah, Jamie Gillenwater and her husband Matt, Andrew Wilson and his wife Adrienne, Devin Wilson, and Drew Wilson; great grandchildren, Maya Gillenwater, Josie Wilson, and Aidan Wilson; sister, Sue Pritchard Daughtry of Asheboro, NC and two brothers, Roger Pritchard and his wife Brenda and L. D. Pritchard and his wife Faye all of Asheboro, NC.
Mrs. Wilson will lie in state on Thursday, June 11, 2020 from 1-7:00 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Ave., Asheboro. A graveside service will be conducted in Union Grove Christian Church Cemetery, 3985 Old NC Hwy 13, Asheboro on Friday June 12, 2020 at 1:00 pm with Rev. Mark Hall officiating.
