Crystal Dodge Sims

Crystal Dodge Sims, age 68, of Asheboro died Friday, June 26, 2015 at Randolph Hospice House, Asheboro. Mrs. Sims was born October 21, 1946 in Bangor, Maine and graduated from Thomas Edison High School in Springfield, Virginia. She graduated from Alexandria Business School and retired from Xerox Corporation after 35 years of service. Crystal was very involved in DAR and genealogy organizations and was a member of Central United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents: Charles Nelson and Virginia Elizabeth (Micue) Dodge, she was preceded in death by her husband of 32 years: Richard E. Sims. She is survived by her daughter: Tracy Sims Wheless and her husband, Mike; grandchildren: Rusty and Haley Wheless all of Asheboro, NC. The family will receive friends Monday, July 6, 2015 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 7, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Central United Methodist Church, 300 South Main Street, Asheboro with Dr. Terry L. Matthews officiating.
