Colette Freeman Skeen

Colette Freeman Skeen, age 79, of 6403 NC Hwy 49 South, Denton died Monday, May 16, 2011 at Randolph Hospital. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 18, 2011 at 2:00 pm at Gravel Hill Baptist Church in Denton with Rev. Danny Hosler and Dr. Ron Chaney officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Skeen was a native of Montgomery County and a graduate of Star High School. She was retired from Farmer School and was a member of Gravel Hill Baptist Church. Mrs. Skeen was preceded in death by her husband, John Robert Skeen. She is survived by daughter, Teresa Bobbitt and her husband Marvin of Durham; son, John G. Skeen of the home; grandson, M.G. Bobbitt IV of Durham; sisters, Lois Blake of Seagrove, Lera Flowers of Asheboro. The family will receive friends Tuesday, May 17, 2011 from 6 to 8 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro and other times at her home.
