Coleman William Ward, Sr.

Coleman William Ward, Sr., age 83, formerly of Asheboro died Monday, May 9, 2011 at GrayBrier Nursing and Retirement Center in Archdale. A graveside memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2011 at 2:00 pm at Oaklawn Cemetery. Mr. Ward was a native of Randolph County and was a U.S. Navy veteran of WWII. He was the owner of Ward Wood Products and was of the Methodist faith. Coleman was preceded in death by his sisters, Jane Burkhead and Betty Edwards and his brother, Jimmy Ward. He is survived by his sons, Coleman William 'Bill' Ward Jr. of Concord, Wiley 'Bud' Holt Ward of New Bern, and David Ward of Randleman; daughter, Susan Annette Ward of North Beach, MD; and 5 grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 14, 2011 from 1:00-1:45 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Randolph, P.O.
