Clifford Yow

Clifford Yow, age 85, of Asheboro died Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at the Randolph Hospice House. Mr. Yow was born July 5, 1929 in Randolph County and attended Shadow of the Cross Baptist Church. Mr. Yow was formerly employed with Collins & Aikman in Siler City, Becky's of Asheboro and was a self-employed carpenter. In addition to his parents, Mr. Yow was preceded in death by his son, Clifton Yow, one sister and one great grandchild. He is survived by his wife, Virgie Pauline Pridgen Yow; daughters, Brenda Pierce and husband Ronald of Roxboro, Vickie Batchelor and husband Terry of Franklinville, Patsy McClintock of Asheboro; sons, Larry Yow of Franklinville, Tommy Yow and wife Sheila of Pleasant Garden; daughter-in-law, Jennifer Yow of Asheboro; 14 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; 9 great great grandchildren; step-mother, Lettie Pearl McNeill of Carthage; 5 sisters; 2 brothers. The family will receive friends Thursday, January 29, 2015 from 6-8 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro and other times at his wife's home. Funeral services will be held Friday, January 30, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ronnie Pruitt officiating. Burial will be in Richland Baptist Church Cemetery.
