Cleo Floyd McMasters, age 89, of Ramseur passed away on Thursday, March 30, 2017 at Clapp's Convalescent Nursing Home in Asheboro.
Mr. McMasters was born in Asheboro on August 5, 1927 to Floyd and Hattie Lindley McMasters. Cleo served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII. He was employed with Klopman Mills (Burlington Industries) for 37 years and retired from Klaussner Furniture as a machinist. Cleo was a member of Fayetteville Street Baptist Church. Cleo was a hard worker and enjoyed working with his hands. He enjoyed gardening and had raised cows in the past.
He is survived by his wife, Beulah Foster McMasters; daughter, Brenda McMasters of Ramseur; sons, Ronald McMasters and Bruce McMasters and wife Marie all of Ramseur; grandson, Wayne McMasters of Randleman; 2 great grandchildren; sister, Virginia M. Garner of Asheboro; brothers, Edward McMasters of Asheboro and Richard McMasters of Ramseur.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, April 4, 2017 from 12:00-1:30 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro. A graveside service will follow on Tuesday at 2:00 pm at Randolph Memorial Park, 4538 US Hwy 220 Bus. North, Asheboro with Rev. Jimmy Hill and Dr. Bruce Dickerson officiating and with military honors by the Randolph County Honor Guard.
