Clegg Wilson Parrish

Clegg Wilson Parrish, age 92, formerly of 2173 Moore Road, Asheboro died Saturday, April 11, 2009 at Randolph Health & Rehabilitation, Asheboro. Mr. Parrish was born May 2, 1916 the son of Carr and Lida Kate Kearns Parrish. Mr. Parrish was a native of Randolph County. He worked for many years with Asheboro Hosiery Mill and retired with the NC Department of Transportation. He was an avid gun collector. He was preceded in death by his wife: Florence Hoover Parrish. He is survived by one daughter: Shelby Jean Presnell of Denton, NC and one son: Harold Parrish of Asheboro, NC; 6 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren; two sisters: Ester Cox and Hilda Robbins both of Asheboro, NC and three brothers: Arthur Parrish of Asheboro, NC; L. C. Parrish of FL; and Max Parrish of Seagrove, NC.The family will receive friends Monday, April 13, 2009 from 6-8 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC and other times at the home of Daniel Parrish 1745 Tot Hill Farm Road, Asheboro, NC. The funeral will be Tuesday, April 14, 2009 at 2:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home Chapel, Asheboro with Pastor Steven Stowe officiating.
