Claudia Cheek Harwell

Claudia Cheek Harwell, age 93, of 1302 Old Cox Rd, Asheboro died Wednesday, October 17, 2007 at Randolph Hospital, Asheboro. Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 20, 2007 at 11:00 am at Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Bruce Lax officiating. Burial will be in Randolph Memorial Park. Mrs. Harwell was a native of Alamance County and a member of Graystone Baptist Church. She was retired from Randolph County Tax Department after 20 years of service and was preceded in death by her husband, Buford Harwell. She is survived by sons, Stewart Harwell of Chapel Hill, NC, Jeff Harwell of Asheboro, NC; daughter, Candace Dallas of West End, NC; grand daughters, Sara Dowd of Raleigh, NC, Hannah Dallas of West End, NC, Christine Harwell of Asheboro, NC; sister, Mary Love of Saxapahaw, NC and brother, Albert Cheek of Graham, NC. The family will receive friends Friday from 6 - 8 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC. Memorials may be made to J. W. Willie Plummer Scholarship Fund, RCC Foundation, P.O.
