Clatie Belle Craven passed away Sunday, January 22, 2017 at the age of 98. Due to her declining health for the last few years, she had lived in Denton, NC under the care of a full-time caregiver.
She is survived by her only son, Resal A. Craven, Jr. and wife Fran Loflin Craven of Scottsdale, AZ, one grandson, Michael R. Craven and wife Grace Lee Craven, and one great grand-daughter, Symone Craven, all of Westlake Village, California; Sisters-in-law Mabel Kiser and Molly Kiser of Asheboro and Addie Kiser of Seagrove and; Brother-in-law Sidney Craven and wife Kay of Asheboro, NC and brother-in-law Jack Craven of Franklinville, NC.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Resal A. Craven, Sr.; her parents, Raymond and Dottie Kiser and; four brothers, Denny, Clyde, Jesse (a.k.a. Bert), and Raymond (a.k.a. Bose) Kiser all of Randolph County and; one sister, Faye Shankle, of Bennettsville, SC.
Mrs. Craven was born in Randolph County and was a long time member of Pleasant Hill Methodist Church where she will be buried.
The family will receive friends Saturday, February 4, 2017 from 11:00 am until noon at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Ave., Asheboro. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 pm in the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church (5474 Pleasant Hill Church Road, Seagrove, NC).
