Claris Lee Brewer

Claris Comer Gardner Brewer, age 77, of Asheboro died Wednesday, December 12, 2012 at Randolph Health & Rehabilitation, Asheboro. Mrs. Brewer was born July 5, 1935 in Moore County to Henry and Rosa Williams Comer. She was retired from Randolph Telephone. She was a loving mother and grandmother who loved cooking, quilting, gardening and spending time with her family and her many grand cats. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Brewer was preceded in death by her first husband, Page Gardner. She is survived by her daughter, Teresa G. Hill and her husband Don of Franklinville; son, Terry L. Gardner and his wife Laura of Asheboro; grandchildren, Tara Reddick and her husband Daniel of Alabama, Ashley Gardner and Blaize Gardner both of Asheboro; brothers, Garland Comer and his wife Thelma of Seagrove, Clement Comer and his wife Margaret of Seagrove, Donald Comer of Haw River; sisters, Wilma Wright and her husband Sammy of Seagrove, Carolyn Dixon and her husband Bobby of Asheboro; surviving spouse, Curtis Brewer of Robbins, NC. The family will receive friends Saturday, December 15, 2012 from 1:00 - 2:15 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro. Funeral services will follow at 2:30 pm in the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ron Copple officiating. Burial will be in Union Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Seagrove.
