Clarence Lewis "Blue" Sells, Jr., age 61, of 751 Hanner Rd., Randleman died Friday, March 23, 2012 at his home. Mr. Sells was a native of Guilford County and served in the US Army during Vietnam War. He had been employed with Keith Laughlin Body Shop, Charlie Crone Auto Repair, Mike Skinner Racing, Becks Auto and painted showcars for Richard Petty. Blue was a Dale Earnhart fan and a dedicated family man. He attended Level Cross United Methodist Church when he was able. Blue is preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Evelyn Sells, former wife Cathy McDowell, and step-son James McDowell. He is survived by his step sons: Shawn McDowell and his wife Jan of Franklinville, Ricky McDowell and his wife Charity of Archdale; step son's fianc Samatha Friday; 3 grandsons; two sisters: Judy Sells of Randleman, and Cheryl Lamb of Brown Summit; one brother: Terry Sells of Corning, CA. A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 31, 2012 at 11:00 am at Level Cross United Methodist Church, 10142 U.S. Hwy. 220 Bus. N., Randleman, with Rev. Carroll Lupton officiating. The family will receive friends following the memorial service in the fellowship hall. Memorials may be made to Level Cross United Methodist Church, 10142 U.S. Hwy. 220 Bus. N., Randleman, NC 27317.
