Clarence Parsons

James Clarence Parsons, age 81, Candor died Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at Sandy Ridge Assisted Living, Candor. Mr. Parsons was born March 2, 1934 at Candor, NC the son of Theo Festus and Carrie Blake Parsons. Clarence was a farmer who each year had a garden and raised livestock for his family and always made sure he had lots to share with his neighbors in his community. He had a loving heart and beautiful blue eyes. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother. In addition to his parents, Clarence was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Mary Josephine Greene Parsons; siblings: William Joe Parsons, Annie P. Haywood, Theodore Roosevelt Parsons and Elgie Mae Parsons. He is survived by three daughters: Imogene P. (Phillip) Cagle of Southport, Carol P. (Mike) Liske of Mt. Gilead, Shirley P. (Joe) Dawkins of the home and one son: Willard (Betty) Parsons of Biscoe; siblings: Hazel P. Greene of Candor, Jean Smith of Biscoe, Yvonne P. (Parker) Cranford of Candor, and Clifford (Maxine) Parsons of Albemarle; seven grandchildren, four step- grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. As was Clarence's request, there will be no services. Visitation will be at his home at your convenience. Special thanks are given to the staff of Sandy Ridge Assisted Living of Candor for the loving care given to our father, "Clarence Parsons".
