Christy Dornbush

Christina “Christy” Joy Dornbush, age 44, of Asheboro died Wednesday, August 14, 2019. 

Christy was a Life Member of the Girl Scouts and a 1993 graduate of Asheboro High School, and a 1998 graduate of East Carolina University.  She had taught school at Balfour Elementary and Randleman Elementary.  Christy was previously employed with the NC Zoo Society for 11 years.  She was preceded in death by her mother, Debbie Dornbush and brother, Rob Dornbush.

She is survived by her father, Mike Dornbush; grandmother, Vea Sineath; uncle and aunt, Rob and Annette Sineath; cousins, Derek and Ryan Sineath and her beloved cats.

The family will receive friends Monday, August 19, 2019 from 6 - 8 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro.  A memorial service will be held Tuesday at 11:00 AM at Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor David Speering officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials to First Presbyterian Church, 420 West Walker Ave., Asheboro, NC 27203 or charity of donor's choice.
