Christine Tucker Brantley, age 93, of Asheboro died Friday, December 27, 2013 at Randolph Health & Rehabilitation, Asheboro. Mrs. Brantley was born August 5, 1920 daughter of John Thomas and Florence Dunn Tucker. Christine was a native of Randleman and retired from Burlington Industries. She had been involved with the Asheboro Senior Center over the years and enjoyed gardening. She is preceded in death by her husband: Jack Brantley and her two sons: Donald Ray (Shotgun) Brantley and Tony Brantley. She is survived by: daughter-in-law: Joyce T Brantley of Asheboro, NC; daughter-in-law: Johnsie Brantley of Asheboro, NC; grandson and his wife: Craig and Vanessa Brantley of Huntersville, NC; grandson and his wife: Todd and Vicki Brantley of Raleigh, NC; grandson and his wife: James, Jr. and Jennifer Brantley of Lexington, NC; granddaughter and her husband: Jami and Gary Moffitt of High Point, NC; great grandchildren: Taylor, Alta, Alva, Everett, Zeke Brantley and Avery Lindley. The family will receive friends Sunday, December 29, 2013 from 1:00 to 2:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC. The funeral will follow in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 PM with Pastor Jonathan Shook officiating. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery, Asheboro. Memorials may be made to Carolina House of Asheboro 514 Vision Dr., Asheboro, NC 27203 or to the donor's choice.
