Annie Christene Parks Simmons, age 74, of 545 Morton Ave., Asheboro died Wednesday, November 25, 2009 at Randolph Hospital, Asheboro.Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 28, 2009 at 11:00 AM at the High Pine Wesleyan Church, 4492 High Pine Church Rd., Asheboro with Rev. Marlin Mull, present District Superintendent Rev. Jerry Lumston, District Superintendent Ameritus Rev. Henry Williams, and Rev. Wyatt Hoogkamp officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.Mrs. Simmons was a native of Carroll County, VA, was retired from Hamrick's in Kings Mountain, NC after 30 years of service and was a member of Midway Wesleyan Church.She is survived by her husband, Rev. George Davis Simmons; son, Allen Davis Simmons of N. Myrtle Beach, SC; sisters, Betty Easter of Cana, VA and Doris Hughes of Asheboro, NC; and brothers, Walter Gray Parks of Springfield, VA and Robert Allen "Bob" Parks of Asheboro, NC.The family will receive friends on Friday, November 27, 2009 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC.
