Chris Dunn

Jon Christopher Dunn(Chris) passed away peacefully August 19, 2022 at Randolph Hospital. By his bedside, was his wife Teen(of 36 years), son Jon Christopher, Jr., daughter Kelsey Christeen and her fiancé Hunter Anthony.

Chris was born March 20, 1960. He was the third child of the late Joan Powers Dunn and AC Dunn, Jr. Today his siblings Dr. Cleve Dunn(Mary), Beth Rush(late Scott Rush), and Derek Dunn(Ann) feel a great loss, as do his nieces Megan(Jonathan), Mariann(J.D.), Joaniebeth(Zac), and nephews Brandunn(Karla), Brocdunn(Caroline), and Drake.

Chris graduated from Asheboro High School in 1978. In 1980, Chris graduated from Wingate College and continued his education at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He truly enjoyed his career days at Elliot’s Office Supplies and Sandhills Office Supplies.

Proverbs 13:22 A good man leaves an inheritance to his children. Indeed Chris was a good, kind man and he has left to his children to teach, to love, and to laugh.

The Washington Redskins, NY Yankees, and UNC Tarheels have lost an avid follower and fan. 1 Corinthians 9:24 Give thanks to athletes that perform with integrity. Chris expected just that of his teams.

His family would like to thank the excellent care Chris received from the Randolph Hospital ER and ICU Nurses                               as well as Dr. Sidney Blake.

The service will be held on Sunday August 28, 2022, at 3:00 PM at Landmark Baptist Church 2816 Spoons Chapel Rd Asheboro, NC 27205 with Rev. Frank Barrett and Mike Thompson officiating. The family will see friends and family prior to the service in the fellowship hall from 1:30 PM to 2:45 PM.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent to Landmark Baptist Church.
