Chesley Lee Thomas, Jr., age 67, of 200 East Strider Street, Asheboro died Friday, December 2, 2011 at his home. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 7, 2011 at 2:00 pm at Mt. Calvary Independent Baptist Church, 1206 Oakland Ave., Asheboro with Pastor Neil C. Poole, Rev. Jimmy Shirlen and Pastor Jonathan Burris officiating. Mr. Thomas was born in Asheboro, NC on November 10, 1944 to Chesley Lee and Bertha Mae Williams Thomas. He was retired from Acme-McCrary Corporation. In addition to his parents, Chesley was preceded in death by his son Terry Lee Thomas, sister, Mary Stanley, and brother, Lee Roy Thomas. He is survived by his daughter, Pamela McDonald and her husband Jeffery of Asheboro; grandchildren, Meagan Rich and her husband Zach of Asheboro, Terri Jochem and her husband Marty of Burlington; great grandchildren, Chloe Rich, Laynie Rich, Olivia Jochem; sisters, Sarah Uylaky of Meriden, CT, Lola Smith of Asheboro, Carrie Voncannon of Asheboro, Pat McNeill of Asheboro; brothers, James Thomas of Martinsville, VA, Bobby Thomas of Tucson, AZ, Michael Thomas of Browns Mill, NJ, W.R. Thomas of Asheboro. The family will receive friends Tuesday, December 6, 2011 from 6 to 8 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC. Memorial contributions may be made to the Mt.
