Cheryl Hughes Shelton, age 56, of 1226 Old Liberty Road, Asheboro died Thursday, July 16, 2009 at her home. Ms. Shelton was born November 13, 1952 at Asheboro, NC the daughter of the late John Edward and Nancy Cagle Hughes. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, July 19, 2009 at 2:00 PM at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro with Rev. Junior Dawkins officiating. The family will receive friends following the memorial service. A native of Randolph County, she was a retired Licensed Practical Nurse with Westwood Health & Rehabilitation Center in Archdale. She is survived by her daughter, Meredith George and her husband Robert of Randleman, NC; son, Evan Goad of Franklinville, NC; grandchildren, Alanea Goad and Seth Cashion; brother, John Edward Hughes II and his wife Marion of Asheboro, NC; sister, Joy Hughes Ward and her husband David of Randleman, NC Memorials may be made to Hospice Of Randolph, P.O.
