Cherry Ann Thomas Mobley

Cherry Ann Thomas Mobley, age 83, of Asheboro died Sunday, October 25, 2015 at her home. Mrs. Mobley was born in Burlington, NC on August 19, 1932 to James Lacy and Jessie Hurley Thomas. She was a 1953 graduate of Bowman Gray School of Nursing and was formerly employed as a Registered Nurse with Alamance County Hospital. Cherry was retired as co-owner of Kearns Drug in Asheboro. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Asheboro. She is survived by her husband, Benjamin K. "Ben" Mobley; son, Benjamin K. Mobley, Jr of Graham; daughter, Ann Mobley Miles and husband James Miles of Raleigh; and grandson, David James Miles of Raleigh. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 28, 2015 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 29, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Scotty Carpenter and Rev. Mark Hall officiating.
