Chaz Christian Idol

Chaz Christian Idol, 31, passed peacefully on May 6, 2019 at UNC Chapel Hill Hospital. He was born there on February 13, 1988 to Donna Yoho and the late John Idol. He is preceded in death by his father, John Wesley Idol, grandfather, Larry Idol and grandmother, Minnie Hawkins.

Chaz was an avid go cart and race car fan and raced go carts in his younger years. He once raced late model car at age 16 in Martinsville, Virginia and placed 3rd. He had a heart of gold and would do anything for anyone. He knew no strangers. Chaz was a comedian with a contagious smile and always had people laughing. His humor was with him until the end. Chaz was strong and such a fighter and fought hard until he could not fight any longer.

He is survived by his mother; Donna Delores Yoho Kish; step father who raised him, John Kish; sisters: LaTisha "Jolene" Kish, Shelby Idol, Sarah Idol and Christina Howard.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, May 14, 2019 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 600 South Main Street, Randleman, NC.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Randolph Memorial Park, 4538 US Hwy 220 Bus. North, Asheboro with Pastor Anthony Greene officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to assist with final expenses.
