Charlie A. Yarboro

Charles A. "Charlie" Yarboro, age 64, of Troy died Monday, May 27, 2013 at his home. Charlie was born June 17, 1948 at Pinehurst, NC, the son of Alton and Thorban Richardson Yarboro. He served his country in the US Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. Following his service in the Marine Corps, Charlie was a self-employed truck driver for Yarboro Trucking Co. He then became manager of Troy Gulf (BP), working there for several years. After leaving Troy Gulf, he worked in the maintenance department at Capel, Incorporated. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Diane Yarboro Hurley. He is survived by his wife of forty years: Barbara Holt Yarboro of the home; one son: Robert Bryan Yarboro of Troy; one sister: Pam Thompson of Troy; one brother: Richard Yarboro of Troy; two grandchildren: Tyler and Abbie Yarboro. A Celebration of Life Service will be Thursday, May 30, 2013 at 3:30 pm at Pugh-Troy Funeral Home, 211 North Main Street, Troy with Tony Sedberry officiating. The Randolph County Honor Guard will provide military honors. The family will receive friends at the funeral home immediately following the service.
