Charlie Walker Montgomery

Charlie Walker Montgomery, age 76, of 501 Crystal Wood Rd., Asheboro died Thursday, January 10, 2008 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center, Winston-Salem. Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 14, 2008 at 11:00 AM at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Samuel Hicks officiating. Burial will be follow in Randolph Memorial Park, Asheboro. Mr. Montgomery was a native of Arat, VA and was raised in the Mount Holly, Charlotte area. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean Conflict and was retired from Union Carbide/Energizer after 43 years of service. He is survived by his wife, Ellen F. Montgomery; three sons, Charles L. Montgomery, Andrew K. Montgomery, and John N. Montgomery all of Asheboro, NC; 3 step grandchildren and 6 step great grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 13, 2008 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC.
