Charlesanna Powers Callicutt, age 70, of Asheboro passed away on Saturday, June 24, 2017 at Universal Health Care of Ramseur

Mrs. Callicutt was born in Asheboro, NC on January 26, 1947 to Arthur and Caroline Ferdinand Powers. Charlesanna was retired as District Office Secretary from the NC Department of Transportation after 31 years of service. She was a former den mother. Charlesanna loved flowering, gardening, and working in her Gerber Daisies. She loved traveling and especially loved her family, her grandchildren, and her dog, Abby.

She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Charles T. "Tommy" Callicutt; son, Jeffrey Thomas Callicutt and wife Christie of Asheboro; grandchildren, Connor Callicutt and Caleigh Callicutt both of Asheboro; mother, Caroline F. Powers of Asheboro; brother, Gregory Powers and wife Angela of Asheboro; and sisters, Karen Powers Oakley and husband Dick of Asheboro and Salina Powers Davis and husband Richard of Asheboro.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 27, 2017 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Foster Street Wesleyan Church, 214 Foster St., Asheboro with Dr. Lance Cole and Rev. Charles Moses officiating. Burial will follow in Randolph Memorial Park.
