Charles Reginald Russell

Charles Reginald Russell, 64, of Asheboro passed away Sat, Sept 2, 2017, after a bout with a malignant brain tumor.

A memorial service will be held at Journey Church at 1801 S Fayetteville St, Asheboro on September 6 at 6:30 pm. Family visitation will follow.

Charles was a retired brick mason and general contractor who was known for his high quality workmanship. He also served as a volunteer firefighter in Troy for over twenty years. He was preceded in death by parents Reginald and Betty Russell.

He is survived by his wife, Celia Russell, of 44 years, son Jason (Jake) Russell, daughters: Jenny Donoghue and husband Walter, Susan Saunders and husband John Wayne; grandchildren: Landen Saunders, Ivy Saunders, Shea Donoghue, and Juna Russell; brothers: Jimmy Russell, Randy Russell and sister Robin Tysinger.
