Charles Alexander Poindexter

Charles Alexander Poindexter, age 74, of Seagrove died Saturday, October 31, 2015 at his home surrounded by his family. Mr. Poindexter was born March 25, 1941 the son of Marvin E. and Margie Poindexter whom preceded him in death. Mr. Poindexter was a native of Surry County and of Baptist Faith. He retired from Klaunsser Furniture after 35 years of service. Charles was very passion about his family and fishing. He is survived by his wife: Donna Swaney Poindexter of the home; two daughters: Janice P. Simmons and Kimberly P. Rutkowski; son: Charles "Charlie" Ray Poindexter and his wife, Patricia all of Seagrove; 8 grandchildren: Amber, Jason, Donna, Daniel, LiL Ron, Preston, Crystal and Michael; 3 great grandchildren: Addison, Avary and Allie; sister: Carolyn P. Green of Robbins; five brothers: Clarence Poindexter of Asheboro, Carlie W. Poindexter of Holden Beach, Marty Poindexter of Seagrove, Larry Poindexter of Denton and Tommy Poindexter of Asheboro. The family will receive friends Tuesday, November 3, 2015 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC. The funeral will be Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at 11:00 AM in the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro with Pastor Michael Poindexter officiating.
