Charles Emmett Nixon

FRANKLINVILLE - Charles Emmett "Chuck" Nixon, age 85, of 3593 Mack Lineberry Rd., Franklinville died Tuesday, November 1, 2011 at Randolph Hospital. Funeral services will be held Friday, November 4, 2011 at 3:00 pm at Bethany United Methodist Church with Rev. Dr. Russell Brownworth officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with military honors by the Randolph County Honor Guard. Mr. Nixon was a native of Randolph County and an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church in Franklinville and was retired from Sew Special. Mr. Nixon had a great love for his family and always said his grandchildren were the love of his life. He is survived by his wife, Josephine Williams Nixon; daughter, Janet N. Routh and her husband Tim of Franklinville; grandchildren, Justin Routh and his wife Kristin of Randleman, April Green and her husband Brian of Randleman; great grandchildren, McKenzie Green, Kadie Green, Jackson Routh. The family will receive friends Thursday, November 3, 2011from 6 to 8 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 600 South Main Street, Randleman and other times at his home.
