Charles Austin James

Charles Austin "Jessie" James, 90 passed away July 24th. He served in the Navy during WWII was a former member of the Asheboro Police Department, and retired from Randolph Community College. He is survived by his wife, Elgie Ritch Johnson James, his daughter, Sheila Williams and husband Norman of Raleigh, stepdaughter, Sandra Johnson Allen, and husband Charles of Randleman, brothers-in-law and their wives Earl and Jeanette Ritch, J.C. and Margie Ritch all of Asheboro, 3 step grandchildren, and 7 step great grandchildren. Funeral services will be private. In lieu of flowers memorials are requested for Hospice of Randolph County, PO Box 9, Asheboro, NC 27204. Pugh Funeral Home in Asheboro is serving the James family.
