Charles Edward "Eddie" Gatlin, age 61, of Jacksonville went to be with his Lord on Thursday, March 28, 2013.
He was born May 8, 1951 in Asheboro, North Carolina to the late Thomas Lester Gatlin and Clara Craven Gatlin.
Mr. Gatlin was a graduate of Asheboro High School and Randolph Community College. He was a United Sates Air Force Veteran and a Bishop of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. He was employed with Dassault Falcon Jet for nearly 40 years. He was preceded in death by one brother, Lawrence G. Gatlin.
He is survived by his loving wife Annette Gatlin of Jacksonville, children; Derrick Gatlin, Lydia and her husband Thomas of Bel Air, Maryland, Shandra, Rodney, and Kelsey all of Jacksonville, grandchildren; Iden Asher, and Aamira Hope of Bel Air, Maryland, siblings; Susan G. Beasley and husband Cleve, and Barry W. Gatlin and wife Audrey all of Asheboro, North Carolina.
Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday, April 1, 2013 at Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home, 1504 Loop Road, Jacksonville, Arkansas.
A graveside service will be held for Mr. Gatlin on Thursday, April 4, 2013 at at 2:00 p.m. at Randolph Memorial Park, 4538 US Hwy 220 Bus. North, Asheboro, NC with Rev. David Spaulding and Evangelist Annette Gatlin officiating. The Randolph County Honor Guard will be providing military honors.
