Charles Norman Farlow

Charles Norman Farlow, age 81, of Sophia died Friday, October 16, 2015 at Randolph Hospice House, Asheboro. Mr. Farlow was born April 10, 1934 the son of Dallas Colon and Ethel Mae (Cox) Farlow. In addition to his parents Mr. Farlow was preceded in death by sons; Arlan Charles Farlow, Michael Tim Routh, and Marshall Kim Routh. Norman was a loving husband, father, and grandfather whom will be deeply missed by many. While he enjoyed spending time outdoors gardening his true passion was for Sophia Baptist Church where he was a member for over 20 years. He is survived by his wife of 50 years: Faye (Reece) Farlow, two daughters: Penny and husband Ted Swicegood of Asheboro, NC, Jenny and husband John Halliburton of Eagle Mountain, UT one son: Randall and wife Judy Routh of Randleman, NC, 16 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and one sister Ruth Carol Huffman of Asheboro, NC. The family will receive friends Tuesday, October 20, 2015 from 1:30-2:45 PM prior to funeral service at Sophia Baptist Church, 4082 Millikan Rd., Sophia, NC. The funeral service will follow at 3:00 PM. with Rev. Bill Barnes officiating. Burial will be in Marlboro Friends Meeting Cemetery, Sophia with the Randolph County Honor Guard presenting honors.
