Charles Addison Davis

Charles Addison Davis, age 65, of Seagrove died Monday, February 11, 2013 at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital, Greensboro. Mr. Davis was born March 3, 1947 in Randolph County to James Malcolm and Whittie Aileen Smith Davis. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam Era and was retired from Energizer Battery after 40 years of service. He enjoyed fishing, reading, and spending time with family and friends. Mr. Davis was a loving husband, father and grandfather. In addition to his parents, Mr. Davis was preceded in death by his brother, Farrell Davis. He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Cagle Davis; daughters, Courtney Renee Davis of Seagrove, Crystal D. McDowell and her husband Darren of Eureka, MO; grandchildren, Addison McDowell and David McDowell both of Eureka, MO; brother, Don Davis of Seagrove. The family will receive friends Thursday, February 14, 2013 from 5:00-6:00 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Ave., Asheboro. A memorial service will follow at 6:00 pm in the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Garry L. Reeder officiating and with military honors by the Randolph County Honor Guard.
