Charles Routh Daniels

Charles Routh "JayBird" Daniels, age 83, of 220 Robert Hinshaw Dr., Randleman died Thursday, January 27, 2011 at Woodland Hill Care & Rehabilitation, Asheboro. Mr. Daniels was a native of Randolph County and served in the United States Air Force during WWII. JayBird was a retired school teacher at Randleman High School, a wood carver and made cedar chest. He is survived by his wife: Doris "Dot" Hinshaw Daniels, step son, Eddie Goins of Greensboro, NC,1 step grandchild, 2 step great grandchildren, sister: Liza McLelland of Statesville, NC, brother; Everette Daniels of Liberty, NC, nephew: Owen Jennings Daniels of Randleman, NC, and several other nieces and nephews. A graveside service with military honors by the Randolph County Honor Guard will be Saturday, January 29, 2011 at 1:00 pm at Randolph Memorial Park, 4538 US Hwy 220 Bus. North, Asheboro with Malcolm Laughlin officiating. Memorials may be made to New Salem United Methodist Church, 623 New Salem Rd., Randleman, NC
