Charles Leonard "C.L." Cranford

Charles Leonard "C.L." Cranford, age 83, of Asheboro passed away on Saturday, December 16, 2017 at his home. Mr. Cranford was born in Asheboro on June 13, 1934 to Charlie and Lula Thompson Cranford. C.L. served his country in the U.S. Army. He was retired from Burlington Industries in Denton and after retirement, was employed with Teague's BP and Byrd's BP. He was a member of Meadowbrook Church of Christ. In addition to his parents, C.L. was preceded in death by his sister, Joyce Mason and great grandson, Jonathan Michael Brown. He is survived by his wife, Emma Lou Bain Cranford; daughters, Kathy Cranford Brown and Richard Varner of Randleman and Darla Cranford Henson of Sophia; son, Mike Cranford of Randleman; 4 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; and sisters, Peggy Davis of Archdale and Brenda Mason of Lexington. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 19, 2017 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
