Charles Glenn Auman

Charles Glenn Auman, age 82, of Asheboro died Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at Cross Road Retirement Community.

Mr. Auman was born November 7, 1936 in Asheboro to Elsie and Myrtle Auman.

Mr. Auman was an Army veteran and a member of Pleasant Hill Primitive Baptist Church. He was a retired building contractor. Mr. Auman's family was very important to him and he enjoyed watching his grandkids playing sports. He also loved horses, mules, gardening and square dancing. In addition to his parents, Mr. Auman was preceded in death by his wife Rose Moffitt Auman and sisters, Isla Vuncannon and Nancy Wilson.

He is survived by daughters, Sharon Auman Suggs and husband Steve of Asheboro, Susan Auman Halo and husband Rick of Sophia; grandchildren, Jamie Martin and husband Brooks of Gibsonville, Morgan Halo of Sophia, Nicklaus Halo of Sophia; great grandchild, Hayden Martin; sister, Barbara Delk and husband Adrian of Lake Lure; brothers, Dalton Auman and wife Mary Joyce of Asheboro, Grayson Auman and wife Lettie of Asheboro; nephews, Tony Wilson, Tom Wilson, Ted Wilson, Terry Vuncannon, Darin Delk; nieces, Tammy Tisone, Kim Fanning, Scarlet Auman, Donna Bym, Dianne Walker, Debbie Berger, Penny Lungred.

The family will receive friends Saturday, June 22, 2019 from 1:00-2:30 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro. Funeral services will follow at 2:30 in the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Elder David Brooks officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
