Cecil Yow

William Cecil Yow, age 69, of Asheboro died Friday, March 22, 2013 at his home. Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 25, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Freedom Life Church of God, 116 Sunrise Ave., Asheboro with Rev. Benjamin T. Chavis officiating. Burial will follow in Randolph Memorial Park with military honors by the Randolph County Honor Guard. Mr. Yow was born in Chatham County, NC on February 15, 1944 to Frank and Lona Bright Yow. Cecil served his country in the U.S. Army. He was retired from Eveready Battery after 32 years of service and was a member of Freedom Life Church of God. In addition to his parents, Cecil was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister. He is survived by his wife: Brenda Stuart Yow, daughter, Tina J. Yow-Self and her husband Smith Self of Winston-Salem, NC; son, Tim Yow and his wife Ashley of Ramseur, NC; grandchildren, Rebekah Medea Self and Lona Elizabeth Yow; sisters, Dorothy Rice of Asheboro, NC, Clara Morris of Asheboro, NC, Janie Y. Moffitt and her husband Odell of Asheboro, NC. The family will receive friends Sunday, March 24, 2013 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC.
