Cecil Ray Hill

Cecil Ray Hill, age 88, of 113 Oak Lane, Randleman died Wednesday, February 9, 2011 at Randolph Hospital, Asheboro. A celebration of life funeral will be held Saturday, February 12, 2011 at 7:00 pm at Mt. Lebanon United Methodist Church with Rev. Carol Hunter officiating. The family will receive friends following the funeral. Burial with military rites by the Randolph County Honor Guard will be Sunday, February 13, 2011at 2:00 pm in the church cemetery. Mr. Hill was a native of Randolph County and an US Army veteran. He was retired from Burlington Industries of Central Falls and was a member of Mt. Lebanon United Methodist Church. Mr. Hill was preceded in death by his sister, Ethel Hill and brother, Nolan Hill. Cecil enjoyed his retirement on his couch with "Mighty Cat" and watching his TV. He loved Hardee's hot dogs, Sir Pizza, Coca-Cola and smoking his Lucky Strikes. He is survived by his wife, Ruth Glenn Hill; daughter, Susan Beeson and her husband James Beeson of Advance, Ellen Hill of Randleman, grandchildren, Dean McPherson and his wife Julie and their children Chance and Jensen, Preston McPherson, Hilliary Edmondson and her husband Frank, Andrew Beeson, Will Beeson, Ben Beeson; brother, Sammy Hill and his wife Zora of Asheboro; sister-in-law, Lucille Hill of Randleman; special cat, "Mighty".
