Causey T. McDaniel, 78, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on August 11, 2012 at the home of his daughter and family in Asheboro.
Causey was loved by everyone and he, in turn, loved everyone. He was an avid golfer and in his younger years he was a great left-handed baseball pitcher, bowler and pool player. Causey was a US Army veteran; he enjoyed life and loved the Lord.
The family would like to express their deep appreciation to Hospice of Randolph for the kind and gentle care given to Causey during his illness.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years Shelby; his daughter and her husband Robin and Cliff Taylor; 2 grandsons Jeremy McDaniel and wife Jessica of Randleman and Matthew Atkins of Asheboro; 1 granddaughter Mallory Ocia Taylor of Asheboro; 3 great grandchildren Rebecca, Clayton and Corbin McDaniel. He is preceded in death by his father and mother, Cliff and Ocia McDaniel and his son Keith McDaniel.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Landmark Baptist Church, 2816 Spoons Chapel Rd., Asheboro on August 25, 2012 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Frank Barrett and Rev. Garland Hall officiating. The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall and at other times at the home of Cliff and Robin Taylor at 4087 Happy Hollow Rd., Asheboro.
